Today, I'm super excited to be celebrating THE TON'S 4th Anniversary by joining the mini hop Day 4! The Ton is celebrating 4 years this month and Effie has introduced 9 new designs for this release. Here are my cards featuring the new Smiling Cosmos stamp set. This is such a pretty bouquet stamp!!
For my first card, I went for the abstract, loose watercolor look. I am really happy with how it turned out. Sure this gave me a smile on my face, hope it gives you one too :)
Now, for my 2nd. card, I loved the delicate lines of this stamp, so it was perfect to use it on vellum. I created a base blue alcohol ink background on vellum. I then stamped and embossed the image on another piece of vellum, colored it using prismacolor pencils. Fussy cut the image and adhered it onto the background.

I agree with you Isha that the Cosmos are a "happy" looking flower. They are so bright & striking. I think the process you did to make the second card is brilliant! It has a softness that really appeals to me.

Isha, your first card is DEFINITELY SMILING! HOW GORGEOUS! I LOVE this image! Your close-up of them is WONDERFUL!!! LOVE the way you water colored them! AND your second card is LOVELY AS WELL! SO DELICATE on the vellum! I would have NEVER THOUGHT you used Colored Pencils! You faded them out PERFECTLY on the tips of the petals! A SUPER JOB on BOTH of your cards! ;)
