Spellbinders - Cherish These Days – A Cozy Traveler’s Journal Spread

Hi crafty friends,
I’m so happy today sharing a cozy and playful traveler’s journal spread featuring beautiful products from Spellbinders Rosie's Breakfast in Bed collection. This spread is all about slow mornings, warm drinks, and capturing those little everyday moments we often overlook.

As soon as I saw the images of this collection, I was reminded of a Mother's Day a few years back. I literally got my breakfast in bed with blueberry pancakes, tea, croissants, buns and so on....talk about coincidence...lol

For this spread, I wanted to document a simple, feel-good morning memory. I kept the color palette soft and fresh with blues, pinks, and warm neutrals to create a light and cheerful mood across both pages. These colors are all part of the collection, so I didn't need to put in any extra effort :)

I started by building a layered background using patterned papers to anchor each page while keeping the overall look cohesive.

Left Page:
I created a breakfast-themed cluster with pancakes, coffee, and a cute alarm clock. The small sentiments and tags help tell a story—almost like little notes from the morning.

Right Page:
This side focuses on a cozy coffee moment with layered die-cuts, including toast and a croissant for added warmth and charm. The main sentiment “Cherish these days” becomes the focal point and ties the entire spread together.

To finish, I added light paint splatters for subtle texture and movement—just enough to keep things organic without overwhelming the design.

Here are some tips:
Use repeating colors across both pages for a cohesive spread
Mix structured patterns (like grids) with soft elements for balance
Layer die-cuts in odd numbers for a more natural composition
Add small sentiments to create a storytelling effect

Pinkfresh Studio: Precious Smile

Hello everyone!! Sorry for the long absence. Just before Christmas my Mom got quite sick, so I just took a trip to India to see her. Once I came back she was to be operated...finally she is recovering fine. It's slow but healing. Now my younger daughter is due for her foot operation n Friday so life is a bit Chaotic at the moment. I didn't feel like creating much. Finally to take my mind off things, I simply created some cards using some new release hops, which I will be sharing with you soon.

Meanwhile, I had created this Traveler's notebook page using a cute photo of my younger daughter. This is such a precious memory for me as she really felt like a princess sitting on the ice throne. We went to Matterhorn mountains and that is where this Ice Palace is. It's really beautiful.

Now these GORGEOUS papers, stickers and alpha from December Days Collection by Pinkfresh studio make it so easy to create fun pages for sure :)

Hope you enjoy my creation as much as I enjoyed creating it. Do drop by tomorrow for a special post. Have a nice day!

Altenew: A Year In Review Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to this special "A Year In Review Blog Hop" by Altenew. As the title already suggests, we're going to review the past year and showcase some of our favorite projects.

I absolutely love the products from Altenew! They have a wide variety of products, which means something for everyone :)

This is going to be a long post so get a cup of steaming coffee and enjoy!! You should have come here from the super talented Justine Hovey's Blog.
Here are my Top 4 projects from the last year and as you see, there is a wide range of AWESOME products to create a variety of styles.

Below are some details about the projects :)

This card is made using the whimsical nature style stamp/ die. These cute images are from Love You So Mush. I used the stamp and the dies both. I also used the Fluorescent Green and Carribean Sky embossing powders along with Coral Berry, Warm Sunshine inks by Altenew.

My 2nd card above is of coarse using the florals :) I used, Frosted Garden stamp and dies. You can buy them in stamp and die Bundle too. This such an artistic stamp. I went with the soft feel using vellum. I used the sentiment from Beautiful Day stamp set.

Now as I mentioned before, Altenew doesn't have just the florals but other style images too :)

Here I used the adorable Ninja Invasion stamp and dies. You can also buy them in stamp and die Bundle. I also used the Sketched Lines Stencil for this. To tell you the truth, I never thought I could create with this stamp but this set proved me wrong...I actually enjoyed creating with this set :) I made a few cards for daughters and friends already as it has some lovely sentiments too...lol

Now, to see how versatile these products are, I made a scrapbook layout for my daughter. It's a wonderful memory so I had to document it :) I used the " Sweet Friend, Circled Sentiment stamp set, Sweet Friend, Doodled Lace Cover plate, Rose Filament Die. I also used the "Sketched Line stencil and the New Day Card Kit.

Here are some more of my favourites

Love how I could use these to create Traveler's journal pages. I used this beautiful layering flowers Heart Flowers stamp and dies. There is also an option to buy the stamp and die bundle. To create this I used a lot of other previously release products from Altenew. I used Beautiful Quotes, Sweet Friend, Circled Sentiment, Snowing stamps. The alphas, patterned papers and enamel dots are from the New Day Card Kit.

Here, I went a bit mixed media style. I used Sketched Lines Stencil, Beautiful Day Stamp Set, and Fantasy Floral 3d Die, those 3 are my all time favorites :) Along with I used the new Fluorescent Green and Rose Gold Crisp Embossing powders

Here I simply played with the layering dies and embossing powders. I used the Layered Floral Cover Die A & B Bundle , Super Script Stamp Set, Super Script Die set and Lavender Fields Crisp Ink. I used Rose Gold, Copper, Platinum Crisp Embossing Powders onto the Layered Floral Cover Die B. Again a beautiful mix of metallic shades and really pretty effect.

Well, there are many more but it will take too long. Sorry for the loooong post already :)

FSJ: Traveler's Journal

Hello everyone! Today I have a fun spread in my Bronze Traveler's journal by Fun Stampers Journey. I tried the watercolor notebook insert for the first time and love the paper. It's wonderful to use with techniques and takes the modelling paste without any problem :)

Here is how I created it.

I started by using Lovely Blue Liquid color with water and added it to my pages. This watercolor paper is wonderful :)
I let it dry and then stamped the image using Clear Pigment ink and applied two shades of  blue Pan Pastels.
I then applied modelling paste using the Vintage Screen stencil. Once dry, I flicked some Citrus Cooler Silk.
I then stamped some of the images onto whip cream cardstock using Denim Days ink.
I then stamped the florals from Flower Swirls stamp set using clear pigment ink onto the color splash sheet, embossed using white embossing powder and colored using the color splash pencils.
I then die-cut all the images using co-ordinating dies.
I then die-cut the doily, word "AMAZING" and the tag and assembled everything together.
I actually created a pocket for my tag to go in, so I can write and hide it if I don't want to share it...lol
To do this, I adhered the doily, only from 3 edges and then adhered the photo on the top so the adhesive is only onto the doily part. Now I can easily slide in the tag
Here are a couple more close ups for all the texture.

FSJ - Travelers Journal

Hello everyone! If you noticed recently, I am totally enjoying using my new Travelers Journal from Fun Stampers Journey. I had this photo of my husband from our recent trip to Ireland. We were at The Giants Causeway and the stones were so gorgeous with the hexagon shape. So the Pattern Love stamp set was just a PERFECT match to use on my page :)

I created a simple background pattern using the ink in Rock Candy, Beach Breeze and Lemon drop colors. I used Whip Cream cardstock as I wanted to stamp in the center too. I then adhered this page to my FSJ Travelers notebook.

I then die-cut the Film Capture die using Rock Candy cardstock. I really love how the inks and cardstock match. It makes mixing and matching so easy :)
I then stamped the word  "vacation".

As some accents I used the washi tape and stamped n cut the Arrow from the "Remember Today" stamp and die bundle.  Total fun!!
