Inspired by....

Yesterday I was jumping with joy, when the postman rang the bell n handed me a packet from hero Arts. Well, I got goodies from my December win. HA ia one generous company. So I couldnt help but had to ink my new Stamps....then I was thinking about this challenge by Joy for a few days and yesterday was the perfect opportunity. She is so Creative, Sweet, Wonderful, Inspiring and I just love her style....You must go n visit her blog...you will be amazed by each one of her creation.
Here is the card I was inspired by:

Isn't it pretty and  this is what I came up with:

I was inspired by the spring colors from theshabbytearoom and Verve Stamps. I have been wanting their stamps for some time now n today got the perfect oppertunity. I stamped my flower on Vellum n colored using pencil colors. Its a lovely soft effect in real.  These are the inspiring photos of my Spring colors:

Color Splash

April....Hmmm!! its full of friends B'days. So made this card for a neighbour of mine who really loves Black and Red...so much so that her Home is all made of 2 colors. Kitchen Red n Floor tiles Black...white walls:))

The challenge at Lawnscaping is Splash of color, so here goes my card with a splash of Red.

My take: I stamped my images in Black, then distressed the edges and inked lightly with Red. For the color splash, I added Red bling and some Twine. I put some glossy accent on the critters, it gives a lovely effect in real, may be it shows better in the closeup. Adhered this panel with 3D foam onto the White card.

Supplies: Stamp Heroarts (CL379), Twine from Twinery, Bling from Pizzazzaplenty Paper Migros

I got to know about this challenge at Use it Tuesday .They are going to make a donation to the Red Cross based on the number of participants of the challenge! If they get 1-25 players, they will donate $50; 26-50 players we will donate $75 and so on up to $400! Please help spread the word and hope you can join this great cause.

Birthday

This week's  challenge at Penny Black is to use Background Stamping. Now I dont have any of there back ground stamps, so created my own using the Critter Party stamp set.

I stamped only the Balloon part from the little Hedgie stamp to create my background. Then did some paperpiecing, coloring and using some 3d foam created the scene in the middle. Finally used some glossy accent, Twine from Twinery and glitter pen. TFL

March CCC

For this months Card Challenge, organized by Deborah I send my card to Mariette in The Netherlands.

I used 2 colors of embossing powder to emboss this Silhouette stamp. Then colored it with really light distress ink using pearl water. Embossed the butterfly on Vellum and stamped the background using 2 colors on Kraft.

Now I was lucky to get this lovely card from Karin from The Netherlands..lol. Its such a lovely card. First, its my favorite color. Karin stamped the center part on linen, which looks really amazing and for the background she used pattern paper. Love this card.

Birthday Greetings

Now is the season of B'days for me in the neighbourhood, so created some cards. I will share 2 with you now. I used the sketch from practicing Creativity.....love love their Stamps but dont own any...
Got some more ideas but no time.Since the challenge at Simon says....is anything goes, I am submitting these cards for the challenge at their Blog too.
My take No. 1
Supplies: Ranger Distress inks, Vellum, Stamps all from Hero Arts
For the center panel, I did some distress resist on watercolor paper and spritzt some pearl water( difficult to capture). I then stamped the HeroArts border stamp on Vellum and adhered on the card. I then stamped the sentiment and adhered the Lilac Twine from The Twinery. Love the yumm colors. I colored the butterflies with copics and used some crackle paint, maybe the fine cracks would be visible in the closeups.
 To finish some Pearls.

My 2nd. Card:
Supply: Color Box Chalk Ink, Stamps- Hero Arts and Cloud 9 Bling from Pizzazaplenty...
I realized that today both the cards are around Lilac color scheme...So I took some Lilac card. Turned the sketch and stamped another of the Hero Arts border stamp and embossed in white. Adhered some Lilac and Honeydew Twine. I stamped the Sentiment from Cloud 9 stamp in deep purple.

To finish some Blings, and edged the card with white ink. TFL

Always friends

Here is a quick card to share. I made this card for the challenge CREATE blog( Shaped cards), since I did some paper piecing, I am submitting it for the challenge at  Lawnscaping and Yvonnes blog( Check out her Guest designers work: Amazing)....its all about paper piecing. The monkeys are paper pieced here and were a bit difficult to cut but I enjoyed it.

It was such a fun card to make.....I cut the shape, then for the Tree trunk clear embossed the woodgrain Background and cut the grass with a piece of scrap. For the upper part, I stamped the florished BG Stamp with some shabby shutters distress inks n then covered the whole top with some peeled paint n Crushed olive distress ink. Spritzt of gold pearl water. Added some paper pieced monkeys ( I really like Lawn fawn's cute stamps but dont have any yet, so used Hero Arts set) n made the swing Tyre with black paper, clear embossed with grid bg Stamp.

It all began with a white Cardstock and distress inks along with the clear embossing powder. Some stamps from Hero Arts.....My hubby said to me after such a long time...(Oh this is a nice card...Looks like its made on wood).
