Congratulation
Are you all ready to start the weekend...I love friday's and since last 2 weeks were super busy (I hardly slept more than 4 hours a day) so I really want to sit and relax with hubby and kids...lol
Talking about relaxing...while relaxing, I made a different kind of card...its a baby card:)
My sister is going to have her baby in April, so I decided to create a Congratulations card and the idea came from the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge inspiration photo. Love those peeks of colors on white bunnies and the pom poms. I chose to make a hanging mobile using the gently seasoned stamp set. I used tree and the birds and some hand stitching and lots of dimension foam.
I am joining Simon Says Stamp challenge : Anything Goes and The Young Crafters blog challenge (stitching). I did the stitching of the mobile threads.
My take:
Enjoy your weekend guys and have fun...see you all soon.

Picture Perfect
Today, I wanted to play with something different for a change....no flowers...lol. Then there were a few challenges I wanted to participate in too.
Lawnscaping challenge: Inspired by fellow Crafter
Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes
Young Crafters blog: Stitching
I love Laurel's work and these 2 cards really inspired me to create my card. I like the LO of the first card, dont have Washi Tape yet (waiting for my mail man) so used some pattern paper strips and I also love the stitching on the second...

It was fun paper piecing this camera. I cut the places where the glass should be by my craft knife, adhered some white paper behind, colored with Copics and applied glossy accent for the effect.
More later....

Hello
Since I was in Spring mood, I created one more floral card...lol. Today too we had beautiful weather outside and tomorrow will be too but then tomorrow the garden is calling me to get pampered.
I used the sketch from the Retro Sketch blog. Colors I used are from The Play Date Cafe blog...its been quite long since I last played their challenge. I am also submitting it at the Lily Pad challenge blog (Flowers)
My card:
I stamped the flower using Antique Linen ink and then colored over it with prismacolor pencils. After that I applied some Diamond stickles. For the blue panel, I used broken china distress ink and then stamp the dots and flower bg stamp using the same color and distress stain. Finally assembled everything together. I really love the effect...its pretty:)
Hope you are enjoying my creations as much as I am enjoying creating them. TFL

Acetate card
YAY!!! My 2nd. post for the day. Another flower card. Love spring and flowers:) I used the color palette from the wonderful inspiration photo from CR8FN blog. Flowers...Hmmm!!! thats the theme at Lily Pad Blog
I tried something new for this card. I made an Acetate window, so it was quite difficult to take a nice photo of it. Since the colors are what I see the spring blooms in, I am also submitting this to The Scraphouse challenge blog and The Paper Dolls challenge blog.

Stamps: Hero Arts; Ink: Jenny Bowlin, Staz-On Black, Distress ink Tumbled Glass; Blings; Pattern paper: Basic Grey Indie Bloom
I embossed the flowers on pattern paper using white ep. Cut the window and adhered some acetate. I then stamped the sentiment onto the Acetate. Finally assembled everything together and to finish applied some distress inks to the edges.

Chevron Flower
Today was such bright and perfect spring day for us. So did I finish the laundry??? Nope...Did I did some spring cleaning? of coarse not...Did I sorted the winter clothes...no no no...not at all
Instead I worked in the garden for some time and the new Daffodils, tulips and Hyacinths inspired me to create yet another floral card....lol. I enjoyed the beautiful weather to the fullest creating some cards, which are mostly not yet finished.
Here I share with you all the finished card. I also got the inspiration from this photo at Jay Gee's Nook challenge blog. I am submitting this card for the Floral challenge at The Lily Pad Blog.
Hope you like what I created. TFL

For the background, I used the distress inks to color and then stamped the flourish BG stamp using Picket fence distress stain. I clear embossed this lovely Lotus flower onto the pattern paper and then used distress ink for the depth. Lovely effect in real. To finish stamped the sentiment onto pattern paper and tied some twine and bling.Hope you like what I created. TFL

Its so true....
What??? Yes!!! I think this sentiment from Hero Arts is perfect for those days of life when one is feeling low. I know I know, its been quite some time since my last post.I feel not so good about it but family comes first...lol. But as it says Life is better when you laugh a little, specially with the friends made thru the blogging world.
So I was mesmerized by Shari's Velveteen technique and wanted to try it. I made my flower and leaves using the technique, it looks so soft and pretty in real. I used the colors from the Moxie Fab Tuesday trigger inspirational photo, which is simple, subtle and soft:)
Sorry the photo is not very clear. Other challenges I am entering:
Cute Card Thursday: Anything goes
The Paper Dolls: Spring Bling
Thanks for dropping by:)
