Studio Katia - Birthday Wishes Card

Hello everyone!I am on Studio Katia blog with a floral monochromatic birthday card today. I love to use products in various ways to get the most out of them. Here I used the Lovely Blooms stamp and used part of it to create my floral focal point. I love to play with colors but at the same time I love the soft color palette too, which is what I have on my card.

To start, I sponged distress oxide ink in spun sugar and worn lipstick to a white layer using the blender brush.I then applied the same inks to the Zig Zag Stripes stamp, spritz twice with water and stamped this panel. Let this dry. Die-cut a heart from the Fancy Scallop Hearts Die using Vellum. Adhere the heart to the layer. Die-cut this panel using the Scallops Hearts die. Stamp the floral image onto watercolor paper using WOW! slow drying ink, emboss using WOW! Gold Pearl embossing powder. Cut the center floral cluster and a few of the leaves of your liking. Add color using Zig clean color brush markers.

Adhere the mat layer to the white cardbase. Lay some gold embroidery floss towards the upper side of the heart and adhere the floral cluster using 3D white foam onto the heart. Stamp sentiment from the Blooming Bunch stamp set. To finish, I adhered some of the Gold Sparkle Crystals and Summer Fusion sequins.
Thank you for dropping by! Have a nice crafty day!

MFT - Smile No-Line Watercoloring Card

Hello everyone! I am back again with a CAS card using the newest My Favorite Things products. Yesss! Did you check out the Scraphouse shop in Switzerland yet? I love the new release by MFT so much.

I love Stacy Yakula illustrations, so fell in love with this new
"Always Bring a Smile" stamp too :) And ofcoarse, this stamp is perfect for coloring, so I went for no-line watercoloring using my faber castell markers. You can use any medium you would like.

I stamped the clouds from the Scene Builder stamp from the previous release. I stamped all the images using antique linen distress ink.

Hope this card brings you a smile as much as it did to me :)
Stay safe.

WOW! Embossing Powder Hello Card

Hello Everyone! I am on the WOW! Embossing powder blog today. Hope you are enjoying the May challenge on our facebook group and the theme is "Nature". It's a perfect theme for these times. I decided to use heat embossing onto the embossed paper using an embossing folder. This gives a nice organic effect. The powder will stick to the raised areas and this enhances the effect.

I started by creating a white cardbase. I then cut a mat layer using black cardstock. Emboss this panel using the embossing folder "Weathered" by Taylored Expressions. The stamps and dies are Watercolor Flowers by Gina K Designs.

Take the embossed panel, swipe the slow drying ink pad lightly onto the raised surface. By doing it with a light hand, we will ensure that the raised parts only will get the ink. Sprinkle the Pearl Gold Sparkle embossing powder and heat set it using the dual heat tool.

Cut this panel as per the card photo and adhere it to the card. Flick black ink and stamp the sentiment.

For the floral cluster, I stamped the images and heat emboss them. I used Primary Parma Violet, Primary Marshmallow and Sunflower for the flowers. I used Lime Rickey for the leaves.Create the cluster and adhere it to the card. I added 3d foam to a couple of flowers to get more depth, dimension and interest to the cluster.

We would love to see your creations onto our facebook page.

Stay safe and have a nice crafty day :)

MFT - You Make Me Smile

Hello everyone! I am back again with a CAS card using the newest My Favorite Things products. Yesss! Did you check out the Scraphouse shop in Switzerland yet? I love the new release by MFT so much.
These artistic butterflies from MFT Brilliant Butterflies stamp set simply stole my heart, so decided to use them for this card.
I decided to play with the MFT Wednesday sketch. I find sketches wonderful to start a projects. And the best part that we don't have to really take it literally, there is a lot we can play with keeping it as a guide.

Sketch

I started by creating my background, so I used one of the older stamps from MFT, stamped the floral and leaves diagonally to match the diagonal of the sketch, embossed them using white embossing powder and sponged some ink to it using the sponging brush. I then added a few black splatters and let them dry.

I stamped the butterfly base using antique linen distress ink and then colored them in a rainbow of colors using various distress inks and a brush. I love the no-line coloring look of this. Once these were dry, I stamped the 3rd layer using versafine onyx black ink. I then applied some clear glitter pen.

I fussy cut them using my scissors but there are coordinating dies available.

I then stamped the sentiment from another new stamp set "Always Bring a Smile". Actually, I really love the sentiments and the images too. Embossed it using white embossing powder and die-cut using the fish Tail die. You can cut a simple black stripe too.

Assemble everything together. Hope this card brings you a smile as much as it did to me :)

Stay safe.

WOW! Embossing Powder - Beautiful Day

Hello Everyone! I am up on the WOW! Embossing Powder blog today. The May challenge is up on our facebook group and the theme is "Nature". Nature is one thing which we can't get enough of. It's really beautiful where we live, so I love going for long walks in the woods to enjoy nature and de-stress myself :)
Here is my card for you :)

I started by creating a white cardbase. I then cut a mat layer, stamped the All Lined Up background stamp by MFT using WOW! slow drying ink. I then sprinkled Gold Pearl embossing powder and heat set it using the WOW! Dual Heat tool. I simply love this tool and I feel it's a must have in every crafters basic supplies.

I then applied some more sticky ink to the edges of the layer and for this I used our new Mixed Media brush by Seth Apter. Sprinkle gold pearl powder and heat set.

Now I adhered a white die-cut using Altenew Frilly Frame die. For the next step, die-cut some leaves from Altenew Fantasy Floral Die. Dabbed the clear sticky ink to it, sprinkle Sage embossing powder inspired by Catherine Pooler. This powder has some beautiful mix of white ultra high and chunky glitter, which gives a beautiful textured effect.

Finally, I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto black. The pearl powder gives a bit darker shade on the black paper, which helps the sentiment to stand out even more.

We would love to see your creations onto our facebook page.

Stay safe and have a nice crafty day :)

Lawn Fawn - It's The Little Things

Hello and welcome back everyone! I got a couple of the new stamps by Scraphouse shop in Switzerland and was enjoying playing with them. I used some of my older dies to create this fun playful card. I saw the new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 75 and jumped in right away.

Here is my card with the take on spectacular Skies :) I love creating night skies with galaxies...it's simply mesmarizing.
I started by creating the sky using black brusho and various tonic  shimmer powder. I then added flicks of white and silver paint. Once this was dry, I added some dots and a cute heart using white gel pen.

Stamp, color and cut the images. Die-cut the clouds and sponge some tumbled glass inks. Assemble everything together.

I also added the word smile using the Speech Bubbles dies. I love this sentiment from the new release, which is perfect for today's times.

Hope you enjoyed my creation. Have a nice day! Stay safe.

You should have come here from the talented Lisa Spangler's blog. If not start from the beginning at Altenew Card Blog
I have two projects for you today.
For my first card, I tried something new using Altenew 24 half pan Artists' Watercolor set. I used the watercolors on black cardstock and it really left me with a beautiful and vibrant effect. Normally, I would use Gouache paints but I didn't miss them here :) I used Wild Flora Stamp set.

I started by stamping the images using Versamark ink and embossed the images using WOW! Metalline Himalayan Musk embossing powder. Now, the first step is to color everything using white watercolor. Remember we have to work in layers.
Let this dry and then I used the greens, pinks and reds for the shading of the flowers and leaves. I painted them using thin strokes.

Once this was dry, I stamped and embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder. Adhere the card to a white cardbase.

For the 2nd. card, I decided to go with a mixed media slimline card.I used the same watercolor set along with the Retro Plantines stamp, Sketched Lines stencil, The frame die from the New Day card kit, Script Words Die, Fantasy Floral Die and Altenew Embossing Paste.

I started by creating the mat layer. Layer the stencil and apply embossing paste through it. Let it dry. I then added some blue and yellow watercolor wash. I die-cut the flower and the leaves and applied watercolors to it. For my flower, I used blues, turquoise and yellow and for the leaves a few shades of greens. Let everything dry.

I die-cut the frame using white cardstock and just added a splash of watered down color.
stamp the Plantines leaves and fussy cut them. Assemble the card together.
To finish, I adhered the word "HUGS" and added a few sparkles.

The next stop on the hop is Yoonsun Hur

Studio Katia - Hello Mixed Media Card

Hello everyone! Today I am on Studio Katia blog with a cute mixed media card. Hope you all are staying safe, our lock down easing phase has started so hoping all will stay fine. I love creating mixed media, so decided to create a card using the technique :)

To start, I made a black cardbase. Now, I took a watercolor paper and added a wash of gesso. Now, I added a wash of distress ink to create the background. I then die-cut the micro hexagon cover plate die from white cardstock.

Stamp the images from the whimsical Town stamp using fossilized amber distress ink, let dry. Tear the cover plate die-cut and adhere onto the card using gel medium.

Stamp the cute little bee and flower from the Honey Bees stamp set, color using copic markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies. Adhere to the card.

To finish, I adhered some of the Frost chunky glitter to the bee wings and onto the card at few places.

Thank you for dropping by! Have a nice crafty day!
