Altenew’s A Year In Review Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this special "A Year In Review Blog Hop" by Altenew. As the title already suggests, we're going to review the past year and showcase some of our favorite projects.
I absolutely love the products from Altenew! Especially the flowers are amazing :)
This is going to be a long post so get a cup of steaming coffee and enjoy!! You should have come here from the super talented Therese Calvird's Blog.

Here are a few of my favorite cards:

I used Altenew Vintage Flowers and Label Love stamp set to create this card. First, I stamped and embossed the flowers using white embossing powder. Then I added distress ink. The embossed flowers resist the ink, which really looks so pretty in real life.

For my 2nd. and 3rd. card, I used the same stamp "Winter Cottage" and used it in 2 ways. I love how different the cards look.
For this card, I sponged the cardbase from top using 3 colors of distress inks and flicked some gold ink to it. I then embossed the image using gold embossing powder and applied some chalk pastels to add color. I stamped this beautiful sentiment using Navy ink and love how the card turned out.

For the card below,  I simply stamped the image using Smokey Grey ink. Added a touch of  watercolor. I adhered this panel to the cardbase. I then cut a piece of linen cardstock and framed the image using 3D foam.

Oh, I love these pretty butterflies fluttering by  from the "Wild Hibiscus" stamp set. Once again, I used Distress inks for the background. The wax paper technique yielded the wonderful texture. To finish off, I embossed the butterflies onto vellum and did some fussy cutting. To finish, I applied some Wink of Stella for some shine.

This last card was total fun to create. I have a video for you too. For this card, I used the "Wild Hibiscus and Label Love" stamp set once again :)

Click below to watch the video :)

Your cards are lovely. I especially liked the last one, and even took the time to watch the video. I think I was drawn to this one because it looks like something I just thought of this morning, but in reverse! I was cleaning the craft room and found a piece of watercolor I had been playing around with--it looked a little like a flower, and I was thinking how pretty it would be to stamp a simple flower stamp over the coloring. Alas, I have no large floral stamps. How is this even possible??? Thanks for the inspiration and a different way to accomplish the card!

I see lots of yellow in some of your cards and I am happy as a clam. It's my favorite color so good on you for using it. It is very underused in my opinion.
My faves are the Thank You card that looks like you painted it but not all of it, you left some of it white. It's a very cool card and I love how you put sequins in the middle of the flowers. I have done that before.
That little cabin in the woods looks like a stamp I have and I love your card because of that.
Last but not least is the butterfly card which is so beautiful! I wish I had a die cutter so I could make a card like this.
All your cards are beautiful and very colorful but those are my faves. Thanks for being a part of the hop and I hope I get to win something.
