I am happy to Challenge myself...

Well, its gonna be part 1 of my long post...so many things and cards to share. For now, I had this thought for a few days now and the challenge at CREATE blog and Yvonne's blog ( Erika's challenge: to make something distressed n grungy) gave me perfect opportunity to challenge myself cos I usually dont make this style.

The challenge at CREATE is to use Washi tape....now we dont get it and I used my old favorite watercolor masking tape, which I stamped with Heroarts stamp. Love the way it turned out.

Supplies: Paper Migros, Distress inks Ranger, Stamps: all Hero Arts( CL311, CL155, CL375, CL383, S5216, S4878)
I used several distress inks to create the background, then I kissed it with Heroarts background stamp spritzt with water. Then some drops of water and used couple more stamps to get the effect. I colored my butterfly using copics and distress inks, used crackle paint for the soft crackle effect. Adhered some button, glass beads and yes my shrinky film flower. I really like the way it looks.

Vellum Sentiment....

I made this card for the challenge at Papertrey - Make it Monday. It was ready for last 4 days but I was waiting for some sunshine...anyway weather is getting worse and since time is almost over, I want to share it now.

I used Kraft cardbase and then adhered some Harvest gold paper onto it. For the Vellum panel, I cut a piece, tore it and then stamped Turning leaf stamp with Avocado ink. Then I used clear embossing powder to emboss them. It gives lovely clear shine, which I wan unable to capture. For finishing added some button and some twine. TFL.

Punched Border Tree of Love

Yay!!! I am happy seeing that my card got published on the Create blog...it means so much to me. The theme was to use border punches and I made it to give it to my daughter on Valentine.
I used 3 colors of green paper and my Border punch to make the Tree top. Sprayed some gold Perfect pearl. For the trunk I cut the shape out and stamped with Hero arts Woodgrain bg stamp. I then punched some Hearts and put some glossy accent over them. For the grass I used this fiber cloth and cut 2 layers to give the effect. This cute Birdie is a gift from Lucy. I paper pieced it. To finish distressed the edges of the card. It looks so great in real.
Hope its a bit clear in the closeup. TFL

Think Big Challenge...

I want to share this card for the PTI Challenge, which was to create a project that incorporates something unexpectedly mega-sized! You can find all the details of the challenge on Nichole's blog as PTI Celebrates it's 4th Anniversary.

Since I have very tiny collection of PTI Products, I masked an area of my card in Heart shape and udes the border stamp to make my background. Then I used three punched hearts and some Ribbon. I stamped the sentiment in Gold and did the Black lining all around.
Thanks for your visit.

White Space....

Friends....I want to share today a card I made for Penny Black. The challenge is to use White space on the card. Since I only own 2 sets of stamps, I tried to make the most of it by using them in form of a small story...There were 5 Eggs, ready to Hatch around the same time. So, when the last one hatched, he wondered where the others went. Then he started looking for them and looked inside...Guess what he found: A nice surprise of Birth-Day wishes.

For the outside of the card, I stitched the border first n then distressed it, to create some background. Now I stamped some grass and then stamped all the Eggs with chicken on a separate piece of paper. Cut the chicks out and used empty Egg shells. For the inside I used these Happy looking playful chickens and some sentiment. Hope you like it. TFL

I used  the color combination from Michelle Wooderson's project, as part of today's Papertrey Ink color challenge contest. Its such a nice combo that  I couldn't resist trying it out.

Supplies: Papertrey ink( paper, ink and Ribbon)
I clear embossed the Retro Background stamp on Chocolate paper. On the Kraft stamped Turning leaf with vintage cream ink, made the Rossette with Terracotta tile paper and put some Bronze perfect pearl. To finish stamped the sentiment in Terracotta ink and some lovely Melon berry Ribbon. TFL.

Doily Peacock....

Hello friends...
I saw this challenge at Create blog and actually I was thinking of participating for quite some time now. I went through my stash of Scraps cos I have plenty of it and the challenge at wee memories gives the perfect opportunity to use them.
Supplies: Stamp Hero Arts, Ranger distress ink, Paper from Migros

So to start with I used this Doily, sent to me by my lovely friend Agata. I then drew the Peacock body on a scrap of paper, colored it with some blue n green and put some stickles. I colored the Doily with distress inks and then some stickles, made the beak with a red scrap piece. I embossed my white paper with swiss dots embossing folder and used the debossed side. Then distressed the edges and stitched all around. After that adhered the Doily to it and the peacock body with 3D foam. For the blue paper, I used Hero arts background stamp and stamped it with Broken China distress ink. To finish some bling, green thread and button.
TFL.

PDCC 67

I made this card thinking its Monday today ( kids school holidays taking its toll...lol), little did I realize that I am just in time :) I made this card for The Play Date Cafe. The challenge is to use the colors below....
As soon as I saw these colors, the pictured this image below and I am happy I tried it cos this card looks really pretty in real. I couldnt capture the shine of pearl color pencils in the night light.

Supplies: Stamps Hero Arts,  Ribbon and Bling from Pizzazzaplenty, Pencil color from Migros

I stamped the Background stamp with pink embossing powder on Black card paper, colored the flowers with pearl color pencils. It gives such pretty and delicate sheen. Then I did some machine stitching around this panel. Adhered it to pink card. I tore some Vellum and put some of this lovely pink ribbon around. Then I embossed this lovely butterfly on to Vellum with pink embossing powder. To finish adhered some Rhinestones on the flowers and the butterfly. I also decorated the inside of this card to send it to a very good friend of mine.

I embossed the Sentiment and Butterfly on Vellum with all the 4 colors of pearl embossing powder. Tore the edges, cos it gives a beautiful effect. TFL
Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed it making.

You Did It!!!!

Yay!!!! second post of the day....
Here is a card I want to share with you all. I played with the challenge at Wee Memories Now the challenge is to use the scraps and Do I have them in pile....yes!!!

I took my flower stamp but my scrap wont let me stamp more than 1 petal ....lol. Anyhow I stamped and colored my petals to make it into Hot air Balloon. Cut the basket with a strip of Kraft scrap distressed the edges and wrote the name of the Hero arts Hostesses, love their colored Aprons. For the background I used the Kissing technique by Shari ( check the video tutorial ). Inked the Clouds BG stamp and to give the feeling of flowing Air used Flourishes BG stamp to kiss:) I then used all the colors of my Balloons to distress the edges of the top panel. Adhered the twine at the back and then the Balloon with 3D foam. To finish adhered the top panel to the Card base with 3 D foam again.

Material used: Stamps all Hero Arts, Ranger Inks, Copics, Glossy Accents
Closeup of the glossy accent.
Closeup of the Kissing technique with the 2 BG stamps.
