My first Page

I made my very first LO. I actually  never made any LO before. My lovely and sweet friend Agata helped me regarding the photo printing. Thanks Agata.
So finally here is my page about my elder daughter. I had to use the color ORANGE and a 12 inch square in size. I wrote the sentiment by hand as I still have to learn a lot before I can do everything on computer and at the moment time is really scarce.

Now keep it to minimal is what I like the most and that is the challenge at Yvonne's blog. Hope you like it. Thanks for visiting.

Colour! Or is it Color?

Yes! This is the title of my post as I won a spot in this class here by Nic. She is wonderful and very talented. Go and check out her blog. I made these Tags as part of pre class. We had to make tags with the rainbow colors and here is what I came up with. I was inspired by the summer theme at the Weememories challenge.Since there is celebration of Stamp it at Moxie fab...I am submitting this one at their blog too.

I used lots of techniques and enjoyed making these. Hope you like them too.

Pearl-fect Birthday

YAY!!! 2nd. post in 1 day but its kind of not finished as I could not take the photo of inside cos while taking photo, it became dark outside due to rain. Anyway, I will post it later. I also want to share some happy news which I got yesterday and today.
I made this card for the challenges at:
Lawnscaping challenge (don't forget the inside)
Wee Memories summer time challenge, which reminds me of beach
MoxieFab Stamp it!
Edited- Forgot to link before, since it was a month long challenge and it was due to be posted by today in my calender.
Jay Gee's photo inspiration

For my card, I distressed the background with blue distress inks and used perfect pearl spritzt. Then I stamped some bubbles and embossed a part of it using holographic embossing powder. I used Kraft paer as sand. Now stamped and cut the shell, adhered it using some 3d foam on the upper part. In the center adhered different colors of pearls.

I wrote the sentiment myself and used some of my favorite twine for the banner.

I tried to take photo of inside but couldnt get a nice one as it was pretty bad weather today. Will try to take a nice one again tomorrow.

Well here I got little creative and thought out of the box (love it, when my little brain works;)I made the pennants with the shell stamp. I made the treasure box using the Hay from farm critters and do you see the lock...its made with the Cow bell;) Hope you like it. I really love these stamps, great quality and cute images.

Now on to some happy news sharing:
My card won at the Young Crafter Unite Blog hop and was Britta's top choice here. Thanks Britta and Marie.
This card won me some Penny Black stamps ;) at Copic Creations.
My card was featured at Penny Black Stamp blog Flickr Friday feature. YAY!!!
I was one of the V.I.P at the CAS-ual friday challenge#8:))
Now about my dreams coming true:
I am going to get published in CARDS magazine idea book- December 2011

Nature Bird

Hi friends, today I want to share this card, which I made for the Penny Black (to create circle card), Penny Black all sorts (flower power) and Moxie fab (Stamp it!! Week) challenge.
For this card I made the focal image only with stamping and watercoloring with pencils and distress inks. I then applied some perfect pearls.Love the shimmer it gives. I did lot of fussy cutting for the layers of different levels using 3d foam, which is visible in the closeup.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving some love.

Young Crafters Unite Blog Hop!

Today is a special day for me as its my first time to be a part of Hop.....it's the very first Young Crafters Unite Blog Hop! The lovely Britta and the talented Marie have put together this great blog.

If you started from the beginning, you should be here from Jill Foster's Blog. If this is your first, be sure to begin at the first Marie's Blog- there are lots and lots of great designers PLUS there are prizes up for grabs!

It was so difficult to think of what my favorite is!! I love Fun n cute- twisting and turning my images to create something new, I love CAS, I love inks, coloring....oh my! so many things, so finally with a friends help I narrowed down on coloring and Colors, then there are some of my favorite stamp companies too...I chose to make 2 cards using 2 of my favorite companies:
Hero Arts: Got me started with stamping. I made the distress resist background. Colored the flower using distress inks and lots of pearl mist all over.
The colors for this card are inspired by Vicky's Card here. So I am submitting it for the Lily Pad Inspiration Challenge#3

Supplies: Stamps Hero Arts(CG134, S5507), Ranger distress inks, White embossing powder, Flower, Twine
Lawn Fawn: My new favorite, love their cute style. The stamps are perfect for coloring and paperpiecing. I made the background using another favorite Penny black stamp of mine. The focal image is Lawn Fawn colored using Copics and to finish some handstitching, handmade flower and that needle with twine. Love these small detail images in Lawn Fawn sets.
The 2nd. challenge I am playing at is to use Doilie and color from Polkadot Door design

Supplies: Lawn Fawn(Sew Lovely), Penny Black (Paisley Background), Ranger distress inks, Bling, Twine
Now what makes me a young crafter?? Again I could give so many reasons...well I am fairly young...while coloring I become and behave like a child, who would like to try everything...lol. When I get new post containing a card from my crafty friend or a prize from my win or something I had ordered, my kids would ask me: "Mama, why do you have that baby smile?" or "Why are you jumping?":))
Also, I am new to the stamping and blogging World (a year old)...so there you go, another reason for feeling young.
I also want to share some of my most favorite cards (most difficult task indeed)
Sweet Birthday using Hero Arts stamps
Sew Lovely using Lawn Fawn
Thanks using Hero Arts
Oh What Fun using Hero Arts and my own drawings. Yes!! I love to draw too.

Now hop over to the talented Linsey's Blog.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you had fun. Please leave a comment letting me know you were here and remember to comment on every post of the Hop for the chance of winning some great prizes ( $20 from Simon Says Stamp, their choice of stamp set from Paper Smooches, or their choice of stamp set from Lawn Fawn)
