Altenew 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Altenew 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop! I'm so excited to be part of this wonderful celebration.

You should've come here from Kelly's blog, if you want to start at the beginning, make sure to check out the Altenew blog HERE.

Now I'm sure you all have seen the adorable stamps from Altenew. I personally LOVE all the stamps, especially the stunning florals. As you may know, I love coloring and their images are simply perfect for that. (Actually, I was just coloring some flowers while watching TV, lol)

For my first project, I decided to make a frame as I had bought a 3D frame a couple of weeks back. There are lots of floral image stamps in the market, but the graphic look of the Brush Art Floral stamp sets it apart from the other stamps. I stamped the images with Distress Inks, and used some water for the watercolor effect.

After completing this project, I felt that this frame needed a companion on the wall. Once again, I used the graphic Brush Art Floral stamp set. For this technique, I first stamped the images with Distress Ink (Antique Linen). Then, I painted over it using KOI water colors. I really appreciate the versatility of this stamp.

For my third project, I decided to stay with the water color theme. Once again, I used Distress inks for the background. The wax paper technique yielded the wonderful texture. To finish off, I embossed the butterflies from the Wild Hibiscus stamp set onto vellum and did some fussy cutting. To finish, I applied some Wink of Stella for some shine.

Here's a close up so you can see the background texture and the butterflies' shimmer better.

Now, this wouldn't be an Anniversary celebration without any gifts, would it?
Altenew is giving away following gifts:
