Happy Wedding Day

So, I was in front of the TV yesterday, watching the Royal wedding. I really enjoyed myself. Loved the dress, its simplicity and Elegance and softness n rich feel. So inspired by it, I made this card which is perfect for the challenge at A Passion for Papertrey.

So inspired by all the above qualities of the dress, I used the soft colors, a touch of lace and pearly sheen to my card. I stamped the Retro background stamp with soft pink ink on some pearl white paper. Stamped the Dahalia with white ep. on pink paper and colored it using medium pink pencil for some depth. I then cut some of the petals for even more depth and misted it with some Gold perfect pearl water. To finish...sentiment in Gold, some lace, bling and Twine.
It was quite difficult to photograph this card to capture the pearl sheen. Hopefully its bit better in the closeup. TFL

Juggling Monster

Wow!!! my 2nd. post for the day.Now here is a small story.... My sister took her 3 year old son to see a Circus show last week and yesterday while talking to him and listening to his cute stories about everything and to get to know the fact that he was immensely impressed by the juggling Clowns...this idea started taking shape.

Since Hero Arts Masculine theme was already in my brain and the fact that I love those new Monster digi, I made this card for my nephew about my version of Juggling Monster Clowns...lol. I am submitting it to the current Moxie Fab Hullabaloo dots challenge too.

Supplies: Paper from Papertrey, Stamps all Hero Arts, Twine from The Twinery, Distress ink and Versafine Black ink, Copics and pencil colors, Glossy Accent

I am into Kraft these days, so for the base I distressed the edgesof Kraft card and stamped HA Happy defination stamp. I then made these 2 poles coloring using distress inks to color. Then printed, colored and cut this Monster from the Hero Arts  Digi collection. Now for the balls, I used the circular sentiment from the same set and cut it to the inner circle and colored. In the end used some glossy accent on the balls, Monster's eyes, tentacles, mouth and stocking design. To finish adhered everything with 3D foam, used 2 colors of Twine for the Rope and made some lines near the balls for the movement.
I hope my little Nephew will have fun seeing this. TFL

Now, before I finish my post, I would like you to visit this blog by Joy....she is celebrating 100 followers and is having 5 days of amazing candy. Added bonus is her wonderful creations.

Dude you Rock!!!

I have been thinking of playing at DeNami challenge since I got the goodies from my win. Now with these gorgeous colors and cute stamp, it was very difficult to let it go. Thankfully, I could finish it just in time. Here are the colors:
 Here is my take:

I made this little House and when I open the door, peeps in this cute cute Robot. Love my one and only Denami Stamp...lol. For the Door knob, I used a button from Denami Harvest collection. I would really recommend their buttons too. Great shapes, colors, quantity and design. Hope you like my creation. I am submitting it to Claudia & Company CAS challenge too.

Papertrey Ink April Blog Hop Challenge

I can not believe, my 4th. post of the night....love when I feel creative. I saw the challenge at Papertrey and since I have this one and only masculine stamp from my win some time back...thought of playing along. thanks Kate for this lovely stamp. I made this card for my 3 yr. old nephew, who loves planes and got admission in a very good school.
I used the color inspiration from CR84FN challenge.Since its a CAS card, its perfect for the challenge at Claudia & Company too.

I stamped the image in red ink on blue card for the center panel and then put some crackle accent over it, I then drew some clouds and used pop up paint on them...they look so soft, fluffy and white:) Now I edged it with some Faded Jeans distress ink and adhered it to Pure Poppy card. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white paper with some inked edges, gave the wavy effect and finally attached a button with a twine and faux stitching.

Supplies all Papertrey except the button
May be the crackle effect is better in the closeup. TFL.

Enjoy...

Now this is really not normal for me 3rd. post in a day but I am loving every moment of it and hope you guys are also enjoying. Thou weather is really nice and I still have not yet put new soil and fertilizer in my Garden....
I made this card for the challenge at Lily Pad blog which is a sketch by Lucy.
I received this lovely Penny Black stamp from a dear friend and am going to mail  this card for to my younger brother, who just changed his Job. That means its perfect for the new fun challenge ( Make-it + Mail-it) by Lisa Spanglar. A very inspirational, informative blog.
Supplies: Paper Migros, Inks ( Ranger Distress inks, Memento Black) stamp Penny Black and Papertrey sentiment
To start with, I made my background of grass, hills and sky using various distress inks, then I masked the sky area and sprinkled some water for the effect. It looks really lovely as I tried it some days back too. The center image is stamped on white card, colored with copics and pencil colors. I paper pieced the kite for some brightness and color. To finish adhered these images with 3d foam, used the twine for the cat to hold and stamped the sentiment. I also put some glossy accent to the kite ribbons. TFL

Say it in...

Say it in....well thats another challenge at Annabelle and its...

I love this combo and whatever way I use it....somehow it makes me happy, so I ended up making 2 cards.

For the 1st. I clear embossed the silhouette stamp on blue card and edged the edges of the card with some blue distress ink. I then used the frame stamp from another set and stamped it on cream card. Colored the frame and stamped the sentiment with purple chalk ink. Now cut the frame in a circle and distressed it. To finish adhered some purple ribbon and some Annabelle Sprinkles.

For the 2nd. card, I stamped a Hero Arts background stamp on cream card. For the center panel I used some blue and purple distress inks and then spritzt some perfect pearl water. It gives such a lovely shine. i then stamped the Silhouette with black distress ink. I gave some wavy effect of the sentiment strip, to give some movement in the card. To finish some twine and some bling.

Supplies: Paper Migros, Ink (Ranger distress inks and Memento black), Stamps n Sprinkle( Annabelle stamps) twine from The Twinery, bling from Pizzazzaplenty
May be the pearly shine is visible on the closeup. Hope you like my creations. TFL.

ABSC036

Last day of the Spring holidays....I am so looking forward to getting back to normal routine. I love when my kids have holidays, no early morning...homework etc but I miss some ME time too...lol. Is it normal?? no idea...why worry when today was quite a productive day for me. My daughter already in bed early cos of morning school:)
So I made this card for the ABSC036 sketch challenge at Annabelle stamps. This card was 3/4th done but I thought that submission date is over, I checked today and found..I could still submit.
 Here is my take:

I used Floral Silhouettes stamp from my winning, clear embossed it on Brown cardpaper. I then cut 3 circles and colored them using distress inks (Worn lipstik, Mustard and Broken China). Now I used another stamp from the same set and stamped using the same color of Distress ink as the base circle, then stamped over this image with white ink( slightly turned it) and then again stamped over the white ink with distress ink. So basically its 3 layers of stamped image ...I really like the effect. To finish added some faux stitching, highlighted some flower edges with white pen and some pearls in the flower hearts and the side of the center piece. Adhered this to brown card base and finish. Thanks again Andrea...love this set.

Its like a step towards my dream coming true.

So finally, I want to share a card I made before I left for sudden trip but didn't get a chance to post it. Its for the challenge by Tesa at Yvonne's blog,  its all about coloring, which I love and enjoy. I really like the challenges at Yvonnes blog and you all MUST visit her blog as her creations are so bright, cheerful and great.

I used Kraft card as base and used some distress inks for the effect and stamped Happy def. HA background stamp. Before stamping I used a mask for the panel.  I then re-sized all the different Monsters from HA Digi kit and colored them using Copics. Then used some glossy accents and googly eyes to enhance the effect of the Monsters...lol. I always loved shaped balloons so the idea came from that likeness.

Supplies: HA digi stamp and Happy Defination BG, Ranger distress inks, Twine from The Twinery, Ribbon from stash.
Hopefully the close up shows better effects of Glossy accents. TFL.

Less is More

I recently came across this blog and really like it because its all about CAS and I love this style. One can say so much with so little, actually that's a great thing, if you think about it. So the challenge at Less is More to create CAS card keeping the Sentiment as focal point. Love what Chrissie and Mandi come up with every week.

Here is what I came up with...3 cards...lol. Today my mind worked and I made actually 5 cards.

1st. card: I embossed the Sentiment with Turquoise pearl embossing powder. I then stamped this butterfly with powder pink ink. Love the combo and it looks really soft and pretty in real. Simple yet effective.

Supplies: Stamps ( Cloud9- Simple Thoughts( Happy Birthday), Hero Arts CG200) Ink Versamagic in Pink Petunia, Embossing powder from Stampendous

2nd. Card:
While I was taking out some stuff from my drawer, I came across some water soluble Crayons...I wanted to use them on my stamps for a few days now, so took out my stamp, which haven't been used for some time now and spritzt it with water, used crayons directly on the stamp and stamped on paper. I love Peacock feather and the water color effect and the 3 generations of stamped image. I then stamped the sentiments with Celebration part in 2 colors.

Supplies: Stamps ( Cloud9 Birthday Sentiment, Judkins Peacock feather), Colorbox chalk Ink, Bling from Pizzazzaplenty.

To finish added some bling and cut the 2 corners round.

3rd. Card: This is my favorite. I wanted to make more of a graphic card. I stamped the center circular stamp with yellow ink. I then made the Sun rays using a Sentiment from Hero Arts and stamped it curved with some orange n red ink. To give some balance I stamped Hello in black. To finish a bling in the center.

Hope you like what I created. TFL.

Sending you Sunshine....

Finally we can look forward for some Sunny days from tomorrow....I was feeling so happy so decided to make some cards. I wanted to play at the Challenge at Yvonne's Blog ( theme is to use little embossing and sanding)....check out, she is one super creative lady. So my color inspiration is from the challenge at wee memories.
Here is the inspiration photo:
Here is my take on it:
I took my Color Core paper( Nostalgia collection), which I was hoarding for 2 years now. Cut the strips and embossed it using the cuttle bug folder. I then made the Sun using another embossing folder. Then sanded to bring out the lovely Core colors.
To assemble, I adhered the strips and the layered Sun, then spritzt some Gold perfect pearl mist on n around the Sun. Its a bit clear in the closeup photo. Sorry for the bad photo as its quite grey at the moment.

Paper- Colorcore ( Nostalgia), Bling, Sentiment from HeroArts, Versafine Ink

I will change the photo as soon as we get some Sun. To finish some bling and my sentiment from Hero Arts. TFL

Silhouette Congrats

Hi friends!!! my 2nd. post from today....love when I feel my MOJO working, I still have so many ideas...wish had time too. After this post have to finish the icing on my younger daughter's B'day cake...Yes! She is 7 today. She has a special date( 04.04.04, so easy to remember n fill the forms...lol.) Last night I was remembering her birth and the following years. I am so glad by the way she is growing. Yesterday my elder one and I made lots of Muffins for her school. Love both my girls.
So, this is  a card I made using  Papercrafts color combo and am so happy with the outcome. Since its all Monochromatic, I am submitting it at Scrap rendez-vous color challenge too.

I blended Milled lavender, dusty concord, worn lipstik distress inks to create the center panel, then I stamped the Happy defination stamp using worn lipstik ink. I then stamped the Silhouette image on the Doily using 2 colors of inks, which is sent to me by Janet...I then stitched the Twine around the doily circle. Then took a white strip, edged with dusty concord. To finish some bling, button and a sentiment.

Supplies: Ranger inks, Stamps- Hero Arts(CL342, CG269, LP195 ), Button - De Nami, Twine from The Twinery, Bling from Piazzazzaplenty
TFL. Please leave your sweet comments, it helps me stay motivated.

Just Because.....

I have been thinking of making this card for the whole week but didn't get time...my little one had Flu. Anyway she is better now and I am just in time....I could not take good photo of it cos its raining and its grey n cloudy outside. So here is a card for the Make it Monday from Papertrey Ink. Love this video about blending Techniques.

(Supplies: Paper from PTI, Ranger inks, Stamp from PTI and Hero Arts)
I blended the cream card paper with 5 colors of Distress inks, then spritzt some water...love the effect it gives. Now I inked my HA background stamp with Shabby shutters distress ink and stamped onto this panel. Then I inked the leaf from PTI Turning leaf set with Peeled paint Distress ink and stamped over this panel. I then stamped over this image with white ink n then again with peeled paint ink. So basically it has been stamped 3 times over n over, thats why it gives a beautiful effect. To finish I adhered some bling n twine n Vellum. The sentiment is a Rub-on.
